Fundraising and Organizational Management Consulting Services
I have spent the last fourteen years working with nonprofit organizations to increase their income base and strengthen their position in the communities they serve. For the past year-and-a-half I have been fortunate enough to work with a variety of amazing clients in my capacity as the Principal of Caitlin Wood Consulting.
Prior to launching Caitlin Wood Consulting in 2009, I served as the Director of External Relations of the Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati. In four years I grew the professional nonprofit theatre’s audience and donor base by 20%, secured new major gifts of over $1 million, launched a “high-end” donor membership program and secured first-time funding from major corporations, foundations and government organizations, including Macy’s and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Prior to joining ETC, I spent six seasons as the Development Director of the Arden Theatre Company in Philadelphia where I helped increase contributions by 50%. I have professionally raised funds for Philabundance, the nation’s second-largest food rescue organization, the Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas at Austin and Rice University Press. In addition, I have provided fundraising, strategic planning and organizational development services to a host of nonprofit arts organizations. I have written successful grant proposals for a wide variety of programs—from bricks and mortar to educational offerings--and received grants from a diverse base of funders including the Ohio Cultural and Facilities Commission, the Cincinnati Fine Arts Fund, the Pew Charitable Trusts, The Pennsylvania Council for the Arts and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, just to name a few. I have secured individual, corporate and foundation gifts from $1,000 to $1.2 million.
